Derivation of the eigenmodes is rigorous, with few simplifying assumptions. A late 20th century biasthe houses from the end of the century are naturally less convincing and will be very different for any architectural historian writing the same book 100 years from now. You will not regret buying this book. This is a tremendous compendium of guess what--key houses. Either I didn't read the description well or it was not well described because this is a compilation of research articles and resembles a PhD level dissertation. To me these seem like glaring omissions, but other readers will, no doubt, have their own to offer.. Naturally, a book like this is bound to attract controversy and invite others to challenge the choices made. Maybe I miss understood what I ordered, but this 1st edition has very little on VFD or ASD. Shawn in this book has many qualities you'd expect from a quiet hero.
