REVIEW :
As one reviewer notes "Just get it".. Any student who could take a course from Judith Shapiro would be most fortunate indeed. While the book is well-written, the editing is not perfect. Only reason I read them all is they were downloaded on my Kindle app while we were in Alaska, it rained for multiple days and we were cabin bound, otherwise they were a little too predictable and sorta pat romance novelishwhich is not my cup of tea. This book is so filled with thought-provoking and valuable information that I found myself slowing down, taking notes and contemplating everything that was said. Plus, I'm familiar with Chinese venality and mismanagement, so the charge that China's economic model is broken resonated.
Each chapter follows a format: the myth (or whisper) is laid out as per common belief whereupon it's dismantled, sometimes to great effect, sometimes not. Horse Behavio
