No matter what your opinion about the justification for the war, the hair-raising descriptions of prison politics, missiles sailing overhead and the new-found freedoms evolving out of still-continuing chaos, are brilliantly astute. When it is, this review will be deleted. Reading the accounts of the survivors ,I felt that I was actually on board this doomed vessel. That was why I was comfortable with trying new methods. We even gain insight into why it might have taken him so many years to actually publish his work - a delay that lends considerable suspense to his life story.
By reading this book students will gain a truer understanding of Darwin's scientific contribution. Few can question the inclusion of Dell, Welch, Gerstner, Grove, Gates, Kelleher, and Walton.
