I would recommend this book for an adult or teenager who likes a challenge.. As discussed later in this review, I felt that the first chapter is weaker than the rest of the book (i.e., the main chapters). He takes dominance to a whole new, super cool level. In the Introduction, Shawcross emphasizes that he was given "absolute freedom to write as I wished." There is no doubt in my mind that The Queen and Royal Family did indeed allow him to write freely, knowing that he would craft a truthful but respectful chronicle.
