For the beginner, it gives the basic techniques, and for the professional, it is a great reference to materials and methods. It’s that good! It gave me so many insightful points to think about. However, she told me that she 'no longer stands behind' her book, b/c she has learned a lot since 2004. Marie-Louis's insight and clear writing style make this book very readible and her use of Jungian constructs is only used to open up a deeper level of meaning in the stories not to obscure or twist the story to fit Jungian concepts.
