For the beginner, it gives the basic techniques, and for the professional, it is a great reference to materials and methods. It’s that good! It gave me so many insightful points to think about. Highly recommended, A-1, would certainly recommend it to anyone who has someone suffering in the family. as advertised. However, she told me that she 'no longer stands behind' her book, b/c she has learned a lot since 2004. Marie-Louis's insight and clear writing style make this book very readible and her use of Jungian constructs is only used to open up a deeper level of meaning in the stories not to obscure or twist the story to fit Jungian concepts.
